What Is The Life Expectancy Of A Patient Suffering From Emphysema?

just recently got diagnosed with mild emphesema , wondering about what I can do to help, get tired easy and sweat while doing minimal things. i m 58, never smoked, wondering what to expect as far as life expectancy, etc, had asthma as a child till 9, then no symptoms till 29, just a 1 time thing, then no symptoms till about 49, now constantly, some days worse than others, most part inhaler does it. just got prescribed Advair, which doesn t seem to make any difference in breathing

Hi welcome to health care magic

You have asthma plus copd condition...

You are having chronic obstructive pulmonary disease....

For which given correct treatment with inhaler containing formeterol and fluticasone, bronchodilator plus anti-inflammatory drug...

Here if symptom severe nebulization of levosalbutamol and budesonide can be given for five days

Maintainance inhaler should be continued.

Arterial oxygen level If low than oxygen therapy needed

Dust exposure and environmental pollution kept limited

Take one tap turmeric powder with milk daily

Take care

Advise :pulmonologist consultation for examination and further work up
