What Is The Life Expectancy Of A Person After Liver Stops Functioning?

HI. My sister s liver has shut down. Many complications from Hep C. Doctors are preparing family and recommend hospice to keep her comfortable. Do you know how long she can survive? She is already juandice and does not have control of her bowels. Thank you.

I really appreciate your concern, actually over all immune system is matter of concern if this is strong enough then the survival rate would be okay, beside this some imaging study and enzyme tests are important to decide the prognosis, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
