What Is The Life Expectancy Of A Person Who Is On Ventilator And Heart Working At 40%?
hello sir,
One of my friend did cut her left hand badly that he has 3 deep cuts n many other all over the hand on Monday mng around 6 am.
He family addmitted him to hospital around 8 am and since then he is on ventilator as he was unconscious .
At the time of admitting in hospital his heart was working by 20%.
He didn't regain consious yet but his heart is functioning by 40% now..
Docs says they could treat only when he regain concious.
What are the chances of his survival now as its been more than 30 hours on ventilator .

Dear Attendant. Its all depends upon his co morbidities and associated clinical problems . If he has not having any cardiac problem in past and no active cardiac issue at present , chances are there that his heart will come to normal if all metabolic profiles are ok .
