What Is The Life Expectancy While Suffering From Prinzmetal Variant Angina?
What is the life expectancy for a 62 year old woman with with Prinzmetal variant angina with no significant Plague or atherosclerosis. She is not responding well to meds has angina everyday takes 80 mg isosibide Calcium channel blockers, metrotoprol, Symbastatin, spray nitro. Has had CATH upon insertion complete Spasm without additional test for spasms. This came on suddeningly in cold weather at an altitude of 6 thousand feet, with forest fires in vacincity. What do I have to look forward to. My doctor is a cardiovascular interventionalist

The spasms tend to come in cycles – appearing for a time, then going away. After six to 12 months of treatment, doctors may gradually reduce the medication.
Prinzmetal's angina is a chronic condition that will need to be followed by your healthcare provider even though the prognosis is generally good.
