What Is The Meaning Of Borderline Diabetic?
My doctor says I might be borderline diabetic. My blood sugar is normal, my thyroid has been removed years agao and I am on levothyroxin? My heart seems to beat or flutter often and I am just tired all the time.What does borderline diabetic mean and what do you do for it. Instead of losing weight I gain. I had a totaly gasto by pass 5 or 6 years ago and lost 90 lbs and now it is slowly creeping back up.

the borderline diabetes means prediabetes.
this can be diagnosed if your fasting sugar level is more than 100 and below 126 mg/dl
2 hrs after food sugar level is between 140-199 mg/dl
or your Hba1c is in between 6-6.5%.
in this kind of conditions to stop your progression towards diabetes usually patients are suggested for diet and exercise.
In some special condition we will advise patients to start on medications like metformin 500 mg once daily.
