What Is The Meaning Of Hazy Opacity On Chest X-ray?
What does mean of this xray result hazy opacity is seen in the left apex. minimal haziness is seen in the right lower lung. heart is not enlarged. other visualized chest structures are unremarkable... .. impression is koch s infection left apex and pneumonia right lower lung..
Thanks for your question on HCM. Hazziness on chest x ray means, whitish looking patch is seen. This can be due to 1. Tuberculosis 2. Pneumonia 3. Old fibrosis 4. Lung injury etc. Normally lungs are radiolucent and appears black. When infection occurs, it causes inflammatory reaction and retention of secretions. This secretions, because of fluid density appears whitish. So hazziness is seen. Tuberculosis is more common in upper zones (apex),And pneumonia in mid and lower zone. So better to consult pulmonologist and start treatment.
