I am so sorry to hear about this finding on ultrasound. A subchorionic bleed represents blood leakage at the point where the baby is linked to the mother. This may interfere with the baby's nutrition and compromise adequate development. For now, I cannot for sure say it is an abortion but the difficulty finding a fetal pole raises some much concerns. I hope your doctor ordered for a follow up scan in the weeks ahead to further assess this.
My advice is that you remain calm, relaxed and optimistic. Whatever the end result, we shall stand by you every single step along the way.
I hope you find this helpful. Thank you so much for using our services and please do feel free to ask for clarifications if need be. I wish you the best of health. Dr. Ditah, MD.
