I am 70 yrs old and had 3 bouts with Bladder Ca. Last was 8 yr ago. All stage TA. I received BCG 8 yr ago and have had regular cystoscopies. Last was 3 weeks ago and was normal. However I just received my Cytology report which says"the presence of moderately atypical clusters of urothelial cells in a voided specimen may be seen in reactive/inflammatory processes, urolithiasis and urothelial cell neoplasia. FISH says"Suspicious for Aneuploidy CEP gain of 3,7,17" What does this mean?
HI Thank for asking to HCM I understand your concern in modern pathology certain term being used which are of course beyond the reach of lay persons, here in your reports it indicates the missing of one chromosomes or extra of it and other finding are suggestive of malignant process but that is not spreading and remained in one place only have nice day.
