Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My name is Teresa Fontine. I have gastroparesis, I have no health insurance at this time. I am unable to lose the extra weight and my stomach is always in knots. Is there something I can do for myself such as what I eat or medications I could take to help this problem. I am literally physically sick because of this.
Hello The only thing you can do for this is the recommended dietary changes Teresa--
Eat smaller meals throughout the day Chew food thoroughly No raw fruits or vegetables No oranges or broccoli Low fat low-fat foods for the most part Lots of water with meals No carbonated drinks and no alcohol or smoking
There are medications for the problem like Reglan and erythromycin if and when you can get health insurance
