What Is The Medication For High Fever Along With Neck And Shoulder Pain?
IHAVE A FEVER OF 100.1 AND I FIRST HAD IT LAST NIGHT . I TOOK ADVILE AND THIS MORNING I WAS 98.7, BUT NOW THE FEVER IS BACK. PAINS IN THE NESK AND SHOULDER AREA . APAIN IN MY RIGHT TEMPLE ONCE IN A WHILE.I AM 69 AND IN GREAT CONDITION. NO SICKNESS IN YEARS.
From your description, it appears that you are most likely suffering from a viral fever, which is often associated with bodyaches and headache. It is common during this time due to changes in weather.
However, in case your fever is associated with chills and rigor, I'd suggest you to undergo certain blood investigations to rule out malaria or dengue (in case you are living in an endemic area).
As for the fever, I'd suggest you to take an anti-pyretic like Paracetamol for fever and an potent analgesic like Diclofenac to get relief from bodyaches. Also, do take an antacid as these drugs are known to cause acidity.
Hope this information helps. Feel free to ask if you have any doubt.
Wishing you a speedy recovery, With regards, Dr. Sridhar Reddy
