What Is The Medication For Swollen And Dent On Foot?

Hi, I fell of my scooter 2 weeks ago, and it fell on the inside of my lower leg. There was swelling and bruising around the area & on my foot which I thought was normal, but now it looks like there is a dent where the scooter fell on me with swollen bits around it. Will the dent remain for good/what will help to prevent it from forming for good? I have no pain walking, so I don t think it s broken. Thank you!

Hello,

You have history of your scooter falling on the inside of your leg. Presently you are having a dent with swelling all around the area affected. You do not have any pain while walking. You are suggested to reduce activity, give rest to your legs. When swelling is reduced you may increase activity slowly. At present avoid straining your legs.

You can take analgesics to reduce inflammation and swelling. Warm / cold compress may help. Take vitamin D (sunshine) for better muscle function and bone health for absorption of calcium and magnesium. Give it enough rest and recovery time. Take food rich in calcium and minerals, you can also take supplements.

To reduce swelling or blood clots around the bruise you can apply ointment Thrombophob locally. You can take muscle relaxants orally, one SOS when required. However, since you have swelling you are suggested to get clinically examined, get X-ray and MRI done to rule out any fracture or internal injury. This is to stay on the safer side.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
