Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
yes for 67 year old man what is the normal PSA Range ? My Doctor s assistant called this AM telling me I had great readings from recent blood tests a PSA of .08 (that seems extremely low to me) and that my cholesterol readings were fantastic. She speaks with a very heavy accept so I m not sure about that reading buyt I did repeat it to her. Does that sound correct ?
Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) is a protein produced by prostate cells. This test may be done to screen for prostate cancer. It is also used to follow people after prostate cancer treatment to see if cancer has come back. The normal range for 60-69 years old men is considered to be 4.0 nanograms per milliliter (ng/mL) of blood.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
