What Is The Normal Blood Pressure During Pregnancy?
i am 30 years right now and in my ninth month. MY blood pressure is high 150/110. is this normal at my age. wis there any danger to my child. what precautions should i take. My due date is 17 June. are there chances to have cesarian since i have high blood pressure. My weight is 58 Kg and height is 4feet10''
150/110 mm of Hg is indeed a high blood pressure. Your upper (systolic) and lower (diastolic) - both readings are high. Any diastolic blood pressure above 100 mm of Hg is risky to heart.
This high blood pressure also affects the growth of the baby and even the safety of baby during vaginal delivery. Usually, we prefer to deliver such hypertensive mothers any times after 37 weeks of pregnancy. Now that you have completed 9 months, your doctor may offer you for planned caesarean section, which I feel you should accept. The maturity of the baby is complete by 37 weeks and after this the placenta may start deteriorating. Therefore after you complete 37 weeks of pregnancy, please do not insist on waiting further as that may prove to be dangerous for the baby.
I hope I have clarified your situation sufficiently to you.
