What Is The Normal Blood Sugar Level?

I'VE BEEN TO 2 DOCTORS , ONE SAYS I AM DIABETIC THE OTHER SAYS I'M NOT. A1C is 7, morning blood sugar around 139. I also have swelling of left leg and feet, have trouble when I first get up. One doctor wants to put me on cholerstral medicine--borderline high, high blood pressure med (blood pressure normal), diabetes med.
Other doctor says my levels are normal? Its confusing Lynn

Diabetologist 's  Response
Hi , i had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

The blood sugar levels are diagnostic to Diabetes.
Diabetes should be diagnosed when HbA1c is ≥6.5%. Diagnosis should be confirmed with a repeat HbA1c test.
The blood sugar levels , Fasting > 126mg./dl and post prandial >200mg/dl are diagnostic of diabetes.
Your values stand in diabetic zone.
First we should try diet and exercises. even after a while if they are still higher, then we need to move on to medication.

Hope this guides you. Thank you.
