What Is The Painful Lump Under My Ribs?
I had severe coughing spells with allergies. Felt a excrutiating ripping pain in my left back. Now I have this large mass or lump on my side just below my ribs that feels squishy when I press it also aches when I cough or lie on it. Also that side of my ribs has a noticeable gap from the other side. Almost feels like a rib is missing.

This is obviously a lump , may be a hematoma. The gaps can not really be known why they have occurred.
All the findings should be confirmed by a CT scan. And the treatment will necessarily depend upon the findings.
Severe coughing can cause akk this.
You need to be investigated for x-ray also by blood tests.
