What Is The Painful, Sore, Itchy Bump On My Buttocks?
I have a 50 cent piece size area on my upper left butt cheek close to the crack. It is very painful when I sit or lay on it. It seems to be a little bumby... it is raised and red because its sore. Its also very itchy. I ve had it for about 2 years now. It last about a couple weeks and then goes away and seems to pop up every month or so. I had it checked at the std clinic for herpes and it came back negative. I have a picture if you would like to see it. I also want to add that my dad had skin cancer years ago.
Painful, sore, itchy bump on the buttocks is commonly boils due to bacterial infection, folliculitis or cancer. Keep the area clean, warm compress is effective. Take acetaminophen for relieve. You can apply Neosporin ointment for relief. Get clinically examined by a GP to rule out abscess. If diabetic keep your blood glucose levels under control. Symptoms of buttock cancer are itchiness, swelling or lump around the anus and anal bleeding. You can get a biopsy done of the area affected on the buttocks to stay on the safer side.
