What Is The Pediatric Dose Of Augmentin?
Hi, Can you please tell me the pediatric dose of Augmentin ? Is it per kg of body weight ? Is amoxycillin taken into consideration while calculating the dose or clavulanic acid ? Is the dosage bd or tds ? Is Augmentin DDS double strength ? That would mean reducing the dose by half ? Would be grateful if you could tell me the per kg pediatric dosage. Thanks, Sudip

hi,
first of all please do not take these drugs on your own..kindly consult a pediatrician for correct treatment.. higher dose can lead severe side effects..care for you child and go visit the pediatrician..children have less capacity to metabolize drugs..
augmentin is calculated per kg body wt.. amoxicillin is taken into consideration.. it is 10mg per kg body wt..dds is double strength
