What Is The Permanent Cure For Constant Stabbing Pain In The Upper Center Chest?
My wife of 30 years is suffering from a high level 10+ constant stabbing pain in the upper center chest under her breasts for over 2 years. Her pain is controlling her quality of life every waking minute.
She has seen very high level specialists (the best doctors) for her colonoscopy (12/2012), a couple of endoscopies, as well as high level endoscopies, ultrasounds, HIDA scans and pancreatic tests at Cedar-Sinai. This testing lead to the probability of 50% that if her gallbladder was removed, it would stop the pain. The gallbladder was removed this past May 2013 without relieving her pain. Their next step was the suggestion of pain management through mediation.
She is again having another colonoscopy on 1/13/2014.
It is hard for me to believe the doctors are unable to find a solution for a pain in one localized area.
It is obvious to me they do not know what to do and all I know is that this pain to stop!
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really understand your concern for your wife, the functional pain are very difficult to manage, because that are not pathological in natures, If I would be her doctor then I would treat her with the "Tricyclic anti-depressant and the best drug would be "Amitriptyline + Diazepam' twice a day, this will surely help her, and if this fails to respond then she need to be seen by psychiatrist, take care of her have nice day.
