What Is The Permanent Remedy For Painful Pustules On The Scalp And The Chest ?
i am suffering from recurring painful pustules on my scalp(more) and on the chest , which go away with the use of antibiotics and local applications like triban b solution/erytop/ clindamycin gel. antibiotics i have used are novaclox, ceftum,phexin,cifrodoxin etc. the problem is very old and i am 62 years of age. is there any long time solution, by prescribing some long acting medications?? regards, subhash gupta 0000

This is scalp folliculitis and tends to run a long course.
The best bet is to take long term doxycycline 100 mg daily.
use an antiseptic shampoo like cetrilak at least thrice a week.
use bactroban cream daily at night over the nostrils, ears, umbilicus, and around nails for a fortnight. This reduces the bacterial colonies and helps prevent scalp folliculitis.

Self medication is always dangerous..,
Now U are suffering from..FOLLICULAR DERMATITIS..,
it is bacterial condition..,common in old age people..,
due to low resistance, unhealthy hairbuds..,
lack of adequate nutrtion, inproper hair cleansing.,
chronic problems like diabetes, Hypertension..will exaggerated the..,
problem...so consult good dermatologist..,..and follow.,
1) Apply NOSKURF (Curatio).,lotion night times..,
morning do head bath with ketocanazole shampoo.,
2) Afterr 2 hrs , apply FUSIBACT cream on scalp.,
