Hello!

Welcome on Healthcaremagic!

I would like to know the age of your son. If he is below 25 years old, I would not recommend surgery, as his spine is growing and it would limit his physical activity. The pain he is experiencing is related to the bulging discs in the vertebral column and their pressure on the nerves. Physiotherapy can help improve his situation. I would also recommend avoiding prolonged standing up or sitting position.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Kind regards!
