What Is The Possible Duration For Stool To Be Passed Out With A Coin Which Was Swallowed 6 Days Ago ?
Hello, My 7 year old son swallowed a quarter 6 days ago. We have been checking his stool but it hasn t passed. He has had no side effects from this. How long should it take to pass? When should we take him to see his doctor? He has 5 to 6 x-rays in his life due to respiratory issues. If we can avoid it we do not want him to get another x-ray.

Usually a coin comes out within 3-4 days.
It seems that it might have trapped some where in intestines.
Do not worry about x-ray exposure and go for x-ray to know the position of coin.
Perhaps it might have come out as well.
