Hi.. Thalassemia is a condition that is inherited in as an autosomal ressive pattern.. This means if a thalassemia carrier marries a normal person than there are 50% chances of a normal baby. The other 50% chances of the offspring will be carrier again. While this can happen, there are no chances of affected baby to be born.. Hope I have explained it sufficiently..
