My dad has had a massive stroke his right side is affected after 6 weeks he is starting to walk a little assisted by nurses he has dysphasia quite severe he seems to understand well and his memory isn t too bad but he cannot talk,he is trying really hard but his words come out sounding like a baby, so we can t understand him and he is starting to get really down as he cannot communicate at all except for yes and no which are sometimes mixed up....I feel hopeless and heart broken, will this get better will he be able to talk again? Desperately scrolling the net for answers...

What he needs now is speech therapy which is very important in improving verbal communication in post stroke patients.
