General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it's not unusual in males of this age group however surgery is a minor to medium type and may involve only minimally invasive methods like TURBT and after few days of catheterization and drainage with good prognosis and recovery.

PSA levels should be monitored however and excised gland should be sent for histopathological examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin
