What Is The Prognosis For Headaches And Dizziness Post A Thyroidectomy?
My daughter had graves disease, then the thyroid removed, now on replacement hormones. But, is having headaches, dizziness, hives, and weight gain. While there is a lot of literature leading up to the surgery, there isn t much as to what steps afterwards. What is the best recommendation going forward/?
Headache and dizziness may be less not related to the surgery. If she is not taking sufficient hormones may lead to dizziness and head ache. Regular health check-up and sufficient dosage of thyroid hormone intake may prevent recurrence.
Also check for migraines headache or tension headache possible causes in hypothyroidism patients. Please consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
