Sir/mam my mother is suffering from fourth stage of breast cancer she took 3 heavy doses of chemotherapy there is a significant reductions in size of lump but she is not able to tolerate chemotherapy so doctotors have stopped giving chemotherapy to her as infections are occuring !
they have planned for chemo via tablets 20 mg per day.
i am really very tensed is there any chances of curing her as small cells of cancer has spread in her lungs even.or atleast increase her life span. at bombay cancer hospital(tmh) they said 1 year or 2 year only her life to be .
Hello dear I have gone through the details. It is unfortunate that she is having advanced stage of disease. However as she has shown response to chemotherapy, and she is having Estrogen sensitive tumor , I am of the opinion that careful selection of drugs with dose adjustment and aggressive supportive care she can be treated well and survival may be well over 3 years. So you must take a second opinion from another institute. However since it is a stage 4 disease, so complete cure is not possible. Hope you understand. TAke care.
