Hii dr , I m a 22 year old female Before 3 month I hv diagnosed hyperthyroidism based on lab investigation but symptoms was appear hypothyroidism. ..I m concern with endocrinologist he suggested me tab carbimazol. I m taking treatment and then I was done repeat thyroid test.so I hv diagnosed primary hypothyroidism .again I m concern with Dr so he suggested me tab estrogen 75mg and advise for anti TPO antibody. I was done test and result TPO is 1000.so plzz suggest me what can I do?....?
Based on the history and the presence of raised anti-TPO antibody you seem to be suffering from Hashimoto's disease or Graves' disease.
You need to take Levothryoxine if proven to be suffering from Grave's disease by your treating doctor.
With long-term Levothyroxine treatment and with regular blood tests and monitoring of symptoms or side effects, the long-term prognosis is good which would be reflected as decreasing titers of anti-TPO antibodies.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care

Hi, Long term prognosis is good with levothyroxine. The details of thyroid function tests such as T3, T4 and TSH are not mentioned. Based on the history and the presence of raised anti-TPO antibody you seem to be suffering from Hashimoto s disease or Graves disease. You need to take Levothryoxine if proven to be suffering from Grave s disease by your treating doctor.
