Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Sir my mother had gone through endoscopy and colonoscopy 4months ago found normal colonoscopy along with duodenal erosions in duodenal bulb. And my mother was feeling pain from the first day when the endoscopy was carried out. NOW doctors again want to do endoscopy. What is it and whats its treatment. Is there any matter to worry pl sir inform me i m waiting desperately
As, your mother had got duodenal erosions, during endoscopy, now your doctor might need to see the area more minutely to reach at a precise diagnosis, particularly the area of, and around the erosions. Your doctor may also have a biopsy from the area during procedure of endoscopy to find the histopathological diagnosis of the area of the erosions.
Your mother might be having pain due to erosions of duodenum itself & not necessarily due to procedure of endoscopy. The severity of illness as well as treatment plan, may be known only after a precise diagnosis.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Satnarain Bansal, General & Family Physician
