What Is The Purpose Of Rituximab Infusion Treatment?
A close friend, out of state, is receiving Rituximab infusion treatment. He has a history of DVT s (2 or 3). He was complaining of SOB, feverish, no appetite. Diagnostic tests showed a blood clot just adjacent to the liver. Why is he receiving the Rituximab infusion?

I really appreciate your concern regarding the use of Rituximab.
Well, in addition to its main therapeutic useful in the treatment of Non Hodgkins lymphoma, Rituximab is used in the treatment of other clinical conditions like Rheumatoid arthritis, chronic leukemia, and Wegener's Granulomatosis ---- a condition due to inflammation of the blood vessels.
resulting in DVTs
First find out the final diagnosis of your friend. Is he suffering from one of the above conditions or not>>>
