What Is The Reason For A Very High Fever Followed By Small Rash On Left Side Of Stomach That Is Spreading ?
Hi. Two days ago I suffered from a very high fever that came on very quickly. It lasted for approximately 24 hours. Once the fever broke, I had a small rash on the left side of my stomach. In the past 24 hours, that rash has continued to redden and has spread across my chest and both sides of my stomach. I feel tired from the fever, but otherwise feel pretty good. I am a 55 year old woman in good health.

It appears to be viral fever rash. The fever and the rash are self limited.
I would advice my patient to take rest, take plenty of oral fluids to maintain body temperature. Paracetamol for body pain. If the fever and rash are not subsiding the blood investigations may be needed for evaluation.
