When you miss several days of your birth control, it is common to start having a period, and sometimes it can be heavy. This is called a withdrawal bleed. It was good to start taking it again, and it sounds like it is getting lighter. You should expect it to get lighter until it stops over the next few days. At this point, the best thing is to simply continue with the pills. I hope this was helpful to you, please let me know if you have any further questions.
