What Is The Reason For Burning Sensation In Abdomen After Da Vinci Pyeloplasty And Getting A Coronary Stent?

My 9 yr old had a Da Vinci pyeloplasty two weeks ago on Tuesday, the doctor had to go in again and drain his stomach because of excess fluid in his stomach and an abscess. On Tuesday this week he put in a conorary stent for two weeks. He is constantly complaining of burning sensation in his abdomen area and now he also is shaking a bit from time to time. Please explain to me what might be going on with him. His diagnosis was hydryphenosis.

General Surgeon 's  Response
The diagnosis is Hydronephrosis. Pyeloplasty is the treatment of choice in Children. Da Vinci means your son was operated by robotic instruments. The stent is put in to avoid further collection of pus, which should drain out. The stent sometimes touches the nerves inside and cause burning sensation. This usually settles after the stent is removed. Shaking can occur due to fear in a child or because of the ill-effects of infection . Proper antibiotics and care will take care of your child for which the operating Surgeon will be competent enough.
