What Is The Reason For Constant Pulsation In Ears?
I took a couple long plane rides home a month ago. On the second one during the descend my ears were feeling a very sharp pain. Ever since I got off the plane I couldn't hear right. Tried ear wax drops and drops for ringing.... No luck. Then one day I tried pinching my nose and blowing... Did it pretty hard and heard a pop. Became dizzy and sat on the ground before I fell. Was hearing better but then about 20 minutes later started feeling sharp ear pain, severe headache. Went to ER. Doctor said I had a lot of fluid. Gave me a shot and antibiotics. Next day ears started draining puss like substance. Non stop headache with shooting pains in the back of my head and constant throbbing right next to my ear and jaw. Painful to open mouth. Each day since going to the hospital the pain has gotten a tiny bit better but my hearing has gotten worse. Now to the point where I practically can't hear anything. Besides the constant pulsating in my ears and the sound of the forest. Like crickets chirping and leaves blowing.what do you think it might be? Thank you for your time
I have gone through your query regarding blockade of ear after descend of flight which later started popping on the day you were blowing your nose.
By co-relating the facts of your clinical history it appears that basically you are having eustachian tube dysfunction that ultimately develop clogged ear during descend of your flight and later disease progressed to acute otitis media and this is now giving you popping in ear with diminish hearing.

To manage it you should do- 1- Steam inhalation. 2- Tab Paracetamol. 3- Anti histaminic. 4- Decongestant. 5- Antibiotic. (preferably broad spectrum). I hope this will help you. Regards.
