What Is The Reason For Gaining Weight After Starting Yoga And I Have Thyroid For Which No Medications Are Being Taken?

hi,
i am 22yrs old, female. i have thyroid problem since last 2 yrs. never took any medication for it. last month, i started yoga for controlling my weight issue and thyroid problem, but instead of losing weight, i started gaining weight. and then i stopped it, reduced my weight.
please help me.

I went through your description. I suggest you not to worry much. Yoga is supposed to be good for body and spirit. It enhances metabolism and triggers spiritual healing. Yoga has exercises for every organ in human body. You already have some thyroid problems. Yoga exercises could have interfered with the normal (in your case, abnormal) functioning of the thyroid. You could discuss this with the instructor. If he does not know the reason, learn yoga from an expert for better result.
