What Is The Reason For Having Swollen Caruncle And Itching Sensation On My Eyes?
I am a contact wearer but i have not worn them today. My eyes were perfectly fine until at 10 pm my eye was slightly red and i realized my caruncle was swollen . A sensation of itchiness comes and goes . I have allergies. I have rubbed my eyes today . Is this normal irritation or from the contacts? What is the cause of this and what should I do?

Hi,
This may be due to the lens or refraction problem or due to external agent like allergen or infection. The most common cause for irritation is refraction problem and since you have allergy also you should avoid exposure to allergen. For now clean your eyes and wear spectacles or lens while working and avoid rubbing eyes. You can use anti histamine drops for allergy/irritation for now. If there is any inflammatory signs then you are required to show to your doctor.
