What Is The Reason For Numbness On My Shin?

I fell on cobbles approx a year ago landing on my left knee. it s been painful to kneel on it since but not to walk or anything. I then fell again on cobbles and again on my left knee approx 2 weeks ago it s still painful to kneel on but i also now have a numbness to the left side of my shin
