What Is The Reason For Pain In Genital Area, White Creamy Discharge From Vagina?
Hi. I seem to be having pains in the genital area especially inside my vagina. Now there is no foul smell or odour but I have white creamy stringy discharge for a while. Now the pain started 3 days ago n got worse yesterday but not bad today. Upon examination I cant find a bump or swelling but I do notice that inside my vagina it is all white and when I try to scrape it off it doesnt come off. My husband says he hasnt seen it before so im worried. What could it be?
Hello Thanks for the query . May be due to . 1 Pelvic inflammatory disease , diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by a gynecologist and swab examination from vaginal fluid.Usually fungus is responsible for such infection . 2 Chlamydia trachomatis is the another most common cause. Diagnosis can be confirmed by vaginal swab examination by culture for McCoy or HeLa cells incubated for up to 72 hours. 3 Sexually transmitted disease is another reason , in your case least possible cause . V D R L is the best test for this . In my opinion consult a gynecologist and get his opinion as clinical as well detail history of illness is important . Good luck. Dr. HET
