What Is The Reason For Seizures?

My daughter is 27 yrs now .till now she had absoluly no problem but now after she shifted from India to US six months back she got seizures .she consulted the doctors who took all test including scaning ,EEG,and someother test which showed everything alright and was prescribed some medicine.which she discontinued after sometime by herself and she got fits again.Nobody in my family has this disease.will she has to take medicine always.what can be th reason for her to get this

Hi, your daughter will have to start antiepileptics and continue for 3 years with good compliance .If she remains seizure free for 3 yrs then drug can be stopped after slow tapering of drug .
