What Is The Reason For Severe Headache With Swollen Vein In Right Temple?
I have been suffering from a severe headache on the right side of my temple, nopainkillers will touch it. I also have a raised vein in that area parly swollen. I feel nauseous and my vision is disturbed and geneerally unwell. Had same symptoms approx 4 weeks ago accompanied by the same swollen vein. Can you help please?

Your symptoms seem to be caused by temporal arteritis, which is inflammation of the temporal artery. This is a serious condition and I would recommend consulting as soon as possible with a neurologist for a careful physical exam and some tests:
- a brain MRI study
- blood work (complete blood count, PCR, sedimentation rate).
You may need treatment with steroids.
