What Is The Reason For The Baby Getting Intermittent Fevers After Being Treated For A Possible Ear Infection?
My 16 month old keeps getting fevers of 102. He was just treated with antibiotics for a possible ear infection, the fever went away but has now returned. I have an appt with the doctor tomorrow. I feel like there is some underlying issue that is not being found. Why is my son getting a fever every couple weeks? I just keep getting told it is a virus or teething, but I think it may be something else. What else could it be? I am concerned because my son can't tell me what's wrong, so its a big guessing game.
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. It appears that there will be some chronic infection like urinary tract infection, tuberculosis,(primary complex)or anemia may be the major cause in recurance. If breast feeding mother may be asked to have green leafy vegetabl, pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods. If B.C.G vaccination is not given ,the baby may be screened for tuberculosis. Urine culture and sensitivity may prove to be use full for diagnosis. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
