What Is The Reason For The Sore Bump On The Leg Which When Popped Pus Oozed Out?
I've had this bump on my upper leg for a while. But the past few days is when it started to get big and give me a little pain.So tonight I got a needle and a rag and picked at it for a few seconds and puss came out.The pus was cold, and kind of sticky. The bump fells so hard like a baseball! Its not huge but its probbly the round size of a pin.Could you please tell me how to solve this problem???
I am suspecting an abscess in your case which is collection of pus and blood and is caused by bacterial infection of skin. This can get very painful if increases in size and can also cause fever with chills. This is treated by incision and drainage with antibiotics and painkillers. You have drained it for now but it can get filled up again if not drained completely. I would suggest you get in touch with a GP nearby you and get it drained completely to prevent recurrence. A prescription for antibiotics and painkillers for 5-7 days would suffice to heal the infection. Thanks.
