What Is The Reason For Tightness In Lungs, Burning After Intense Exercise?
After I exercise at a intense level, a few minutes later I began to feel like I am having an asthma attack. I have the tightness in my bronchioles and trouble moving air. I was wondering if it could be induced asthma or an allergic reaction because I never have had these symptoms before. I was wondering if there was any OTC medication available. Symptoms are feels as if my throat is raw and burning then the tightness come as the air is hard to move.
Hi, These are most likely to be the symptoms of exercise-induced asthma. There are no effective OTC medications for this. I suggest you see your doctor to discuss prescribing a bronchodilator inhaler to take prior to exercise. Regards, Dr K A Pottinger, MBChB FRCA
