What Is The Recovery Time For A Shoulder Fracture In An Elderly Person?

My cousin is 72 yrs old. Fell broke shoulder had surgery and is now recovering at a facility. How relevant is age in the course? She had a bad fall, she is an acholoic, is it possible that she will soon recover and go back to er home... or will the nursing home keep her. She has a son, that is 50 yrs old and working. No more family members!

In my opinion, typical recovery time for shoulder fracture is 6-8 weeks. It may take up to 10 weeks depending upon the age and nature of fracture. It is not required to remain in the health facility for whole period of recovery (6-8 weeks). She can go back home after a week of surgery.
