Hi,
PCOD is a disorder of hormones that has a symptom complex of obesity, unwanted hair growth, irregular periods and infertility. Several hormones may be erratic or only a few. Apart from getting properly investigated and taking the appropriate supplementation, management of a healthy BMI with regular exercise is an essential part of the treatment as it has been shown to lead to spontaneous hormonal correction in a reasonable number of people. Obesity can be seen in many fertile people too and hormonal imbalance may not be found in such people. This could be the situation with your cousins. Hope this helps.
