What Is The Remedy For A Lump On The Instep That Causes Foot Pain?

I have had a very painful foot for 3 or 4 months now, the pain is sharp like needles mostly in the evening when im resting but other times it is sore like a bruise, thought it was arthritis, I am 60 overweight and retired from work this year.I have just found a lump.it is solid and bigger than a pea on the instep near to midline.when the pain comes on itbrings tears to my eyes and I cant walk on it.could you help please.

Hi

You seem to have either developed a corn or a plantar wart over the sole of foot.
Such lesions tend to be extremely painful and cause great discomfort especially while walking.
I would advise you to see a local doctor as soon as possible for confirmation of diagnosis .
In the mean time you should wear soft canvas shoes so as to prevent any further trauma to the area.
Avoid walking barefoot.
