What Is The Remedy For A Painful Black Lump After A Bruise From A Catheter That Was Inserted Incorrectly?
I got a large bruise from a catheter that was inserted incorrectly, and it went away 3 weeks later. Hard lump, black and blue and painful. everything was fine after. Now 2 months later a bruise has appeared at the exact site and is a bit hard and hurting, and I do not recall hitting it or anything happening ? why is this? Sorry did not know this was a paid service. thanks.
This bruise can be a blood collection in the soft tissues (hematoma) which can turn (or alreade has turned) into an abscess or an aneurysm of the artery into which the catheter has been inserted. In both cases you need to consult a surgeon (please do not ignore it). Ultrasound of this area should be done. In case of an abscess, it needs to be incised, aneurysm needs also surgery.
Hi. I hope you are talking of urethral catheter. ( please mention completely) . Th ere-appeared bruise which is had and hurting can b due to scar tissue. May be with superadded infection from within.
