What Is The Remedy For Crusty Stuff In Mustache Under Nose?

My husband has this crusty stuff in his mustache under his nose. He had it last year and tried several creams from doctors. He then left it alone and it went away. It's back and tonight just under the tip of his nose looks like a blister filling with fluid

Any thoughts

Hi,

I can understand your concern for flaking and crusty stuff in mustache under nose of your husband.

You can use a mixed cream containing Fluticasone with mupirocin or fucidin to reduce flaking . If used for shorter period of time (less than 7-14 days) then do not cause any side effect and is very safe drug to be used. Do not try to squeeze or pinch or pop the area as it can secondarily infected and can cause further complications.

In my view simple proper washing is sufficient to take care of the flaking problem in scalp. I suggest her to wash the area daily by proper rinsing and using a lotion containing ketoconazole 2 % in it.
