What Is The Remedy For Decrease In Appetite?

Lately my appetite has decreased. I will go about 12 hours without being hungry and then I will be starving. I start to eat but right away I feel nauseous. I feel as if I take another bite, I will throw up. I m hardly eating, yet my weight keeps increasing.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi there..

I would advise you to visit a physician who might advise a few tests(like endoscopy, TSH, Blood sugars)to rule out acidity/gastritis, thyroid disorders, diabetes respectively.

If all investigations are normal, you might be suffering from anorexia.... for which you might need counselling.

In the meantime, do try to eat frequent small meals.
Drink warm water at regular intervals.

Hope this answer was helpful to you.

Regards,
Dr. Divya Kuttikrishnan
