What Is The Remedy For Dry Cough And A Sore Throat?

I have a very dry cough, a sore throat with ulcers and my glands on one side of my neck are sore. I have been to the doctor and he said I had ear, throat and chest infections. I ve taken 2 courses of antibiotics but still have this very irritable cough. I can swallow food but it still hurts to swallow.

Regarding your query for dry irritating cough and sore throat along with enlarged lymph nodes on the side of neck. Your clinical history is indicative of respiratory tract infection so you have to do these investigation for identification of type and site of infection-

1- C.T.Scan paranasal sinuses.

2- X-Ray chest.

3- Culture and sensitivity of throat swab.

4- Gram's staining of throat swab.

5- FNAC from neck glands.

6- Blood- CBC, ESR, blood sugar (Fsating & Post parendial).

By inferences of above investigations we may get som idea and by clinical co-relation of these one may reach to a diagnosis that may accordingly plan for treatment.
