What Is The Remedy For Frequent Urination With Bleeding After A Surgery When On Vesicare?

I have had this surgery 1 year ago. Since then I have tried Vesicare which has not helped; I have had bleeding when I urinate and have no control over holding my urination and when I go out I wear a pad (diaper) due to my embarasment. I thought this was the answer to my going 7 or 8 times during the night but I am sorry I every had this procedure.bill

Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

You have not mentioned the condition for which surgery was done. Your problems may or may not, be associated with surgery.

Blood in urine indicates an abnormality in either the urinary bladder or kidneys. Get an ultrasound or MRI of kidneys/bladder; cystoscopy done to ascertain the exact underlying cause of your problems. Treatment of the underlying cause will cure your problems.

In the absence of any response to Vesicare, you may try Oxybutynin 5mg twice/thrice daily.

Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me, order required tests, and- based on the reports- will prescribe suitable/modified treatment as advised.

If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE ALL doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.

Hi, please mention the surgery you have undergone one year back. If Vesicare is not helping, you may have to go for further tests like tonometry/ endoscopy and so on under the care of an UROLOGIST to get the diagnosis to guide for the further management. Try acupressure or puncture. this may help.
